Long-time Luminox brand ambassador Tony Kanaan won the Indianapolis 500 on May 26.
It was Kanaan’s 11th try at the title, the most well-known race on the IndyCar racing circuit.
Fittingly, Kanaan won the race in a Chevy powered Dellara car bearing the number 11.
Luminox founder Barry Cohen, who works with Kanaan on his signature TK series watch design, said it was great to see Kanaan finally win the big race.
"It's such a pleasure to see Tony capture the ‘holy grail’ of Indy racing, and get this Indy 500 win to add to his impressive resume," Cohen said. "Truly, it could not have happened to a nicer guy."
Luminox recently released the fourth TK Limited Edition Series. The new racing chronograph watch features Kanaan's racing colours of green and yellow and also his car number 11. The black leather strap has white racing stripes to match the white enamel dial with its checkered flag motif.
