To The Families of September 11: Our Deepest Sympathies

We have donated $500 to Families of September 11 organization with your help. We would like to thank you all for your support! Together we will make a difference!!!

The images gripped not just America, but the world: planes crashing into both towers of the World Trade Center, Pentagon and Shanksville, PA killing nearly 3,000 people. Smoke was billowing from gaping holes in the structures, and, eventually, tons of concrete and steel crashing down.

Stories of 9/11 and those who perished in what is counted as among the darkest days in the history of America – and one of the shining moments of its people – have been told and retold, but there is still a lot to be learned in its wake.

Among the stories that few have heard are those of the young people who were left orphaned by the tragedy: the families left behind by the victims of 9/11. They, too, were victims of the tragedy -- robbed of the love and care of a husband, a wife, a parent or a sibling on that fateful day.

We have pledged to support to the families and children left behind by those who perished in the 9/11 attacks through "Families of September 11" nonprofit organization.

From each sold T-Shirt displayed on the left, $10 will go to the Families of September 11.

Even after ten years, we feel it is but fitting to play an active role in ensuring that the kids of the 9/11 generation, forced to face tragic loss at such young ages, are provided with all the support that they need, as well as to provide assistance to efforts that aim to respond to, address the effects of, and reduce the possibility of future terrorist attacks.

Growing up and keeping a family safe and happy, after all, is no easy feat. Having to do that with a parent or loved one so tragically and violently taken away simply makes that task even more difficult. As we continue to remember all those who perished on 9/11, it may be more significant to pay tribute to their memory by opening our hearts to the families that they left behind.
